Columbia Journalism School holds two events to celebrate the accomplishments of its graduates.


Journalism Day

The annual Pringle Lecture will be delivered, followed by the presentation of professional and student awards and prizes. Prize winners will be recognized again in front of family and guests during the Journalism Graduation Ceremony (see below).

Tickets: Not applicable; open only to Journalism students, faculty, and staff.

Reception: None

Caps and Gowns: Not required; business attire.

Journalism Graduation Ceremony

This ceremony celebrates the accomplishments of the graduating students from Columbia Journalism School. Students' names are read as they process across the stage.

Date:  Wednesday, May 16, 2018

Time: 3:00 p.m. - 5:00 p.m.

Location: Roone Ardledge Auditorium, Lerner Hall, 2920 Broadway (at 115th Street)

Speaker:  Ira Glass, This American Life

Tickets: Three (3) Tickets per graduate

Reception: Furnald Lawn, 2940 Broadway; immediately following the ceremony (Rain Location: Pulitzer Hall, 2950 Broadway) 

Caps and Gowns:  Not required; business attire.
