University Commencement Tickets & Registration

The information on this page is relevant to University Commencement e-tickets and registration only

THIS IS NOT FOR CLASS DAY REGISTRATION. Ticket requirements and other details for individual school ceremonies are determined by each school. For information about your school’s ceremony, please visit your school’s ceremony page and contact the listed school representative with any questions.

Student Information

  • All graduates must register for e‑tickets for themselves and their guests.
  • Guest e‑tickets are required for anyone age 3 and older.
  • Eligible students from undergraduate schools may reserve up to four (4) guest e‑tickets.
  • Eligible students from professional and graduate schools may reserve up to two (2) guest e‑tickets.

*Graduates become eligible to participate on a rolling basis throughout the spring semester. Please contact your school directly for questions regarding eligibility.

Due to spatial and security constraints, the Commencement Office cannot provide additional Commencement Day tickets. If additional tickets were to become available, that information will be shared through official Commencement communications. Those with extenuating circumstances, such as guests requiring special accommodations, may appeal to their school for additional Class Day tickets. Please note, additional Class Day tickets are not guaranteed. To find the appropriate contact, visit School Ceremonies.

How to Register

Graduating students who registered will receive e-tickets AND any guest e-tickets via text message & email on Monday, May 11th.

Those who missed the registration deadline can email us at [email protected] to request e-tickets.

Guest Information

  • Every guest must present a guest e-ticket for entry at their designated location. All children over the age of three require an e-ticket.
  • Guests of graduating students cannot directly register for e-tickets—graduates must do so on behalf of their guest(s).

*Non-graduating students and employees with a CUID should not expect to attend the ceremonies without an e-ticket, as seating is very limited.

Live Stream

For guests who are not able to attend, a live webcast of the University Commencement ceremonies will be available for online viewing. School ceremony webcasts will also be available.

By participating in University Commencement ceremonies and/or your school-specific ceremony, all participants are giving consent to being photographed, filmed, and recorded. Please note that these photos and recordings may be shared publicly or on social media at the discretion of the University, and an archived video will be made available online for viewing after the event.
