Teachers College has several ceremonies to celebrate the accomplishments of the graduating students from its different programs.
Ceremony Details
All four Teachers College ceremonies will take place at the United Palace Theater, located at 175th Street and Broadway.
Ceremony I
Date: Monday, May 18, 2026
Time: 11:00 a.m.
Departments: Masters and Doctoral graduates from the departments of CCP and HUD.
Speaker: Prudence L. Carter (M.A. ’95), Sarah and Joseph Jr. Dowling Professor of Sociology and Peltz Ruttenberg Family Director of the Center for the Study of Race and Ethnicity in America at Brown University
Ceremony II
Date: Monday, May 18, 2026
Time: 5:00 p.m.
Departments: Masters and Doctoral graduates from the departments of MST and ORL.
Speaker: Wanda Marie Holland Greene (Ed.M. ’21, M.A. ’92), Head of School at The Hamlin School in San Francisco
Ceremony III
Date: Tuesday, May 19, 2026
Time: 11:00 a.m.
Departments: Masters and Doctoral graduates from the departments of BBS, EPSA, HAEP, & ITS.
Speaker: Kate MacKenzie (M.S. ’02), Executive Director of New York City’s Mayor’s Office of Food Policy
Ceremony IV
Date: Tuesday, May 19, 2026
Time: 5:00 p.m.
Departments: Masters and Doctoral graduates from the departments of A&H and C&T.
Speaker: Misty Copeland, renowned American ballet dancer, author, educator, and philanthropist.
Diploma: Diplomas will be mailed following convocation to the address specified in the TC Portal. Please visit the Student Resources section of the my.tc.columbia.edu portal, to update your preferred mailing address.
Registration Information: Registration is required for all graduates. Graduates can register between Wednesday, April 8, and Wednesday, April 22, 2026, by visiting the Convocation website. After registering, graduates will receive a confirmation email from Boletos Express. Each student may request up to five guest tickets.
