Rumaasha Maasha

Rumaasha Maasha ’94SEAS is an Aerospace Engineer at the NASA Marshall Space Flight Center (MSFC) in Huntsville, AL. He graduated from Columbia Engineering   with a BSc in Engineering Mechanics, completed a MSc in Aerospace Engineering at Georgia Tech, and an AAS in Aviation Maintenance Technology at Clayton State University. Mr. Maasha worked for three years at Mercer University's Engineering Research Center in Warner Robins, GA on USAF-related projects before coming to NASA MSFC in 2002. Over the last 23 years at NASA, Mr. Maasha has worked in the design, analysis, and test of structures and subsystems of NASA's launch vehicles including the Space Shuttle system, the Ares I Crew Launch Vehicle (CLV), and the current Space Launch System (SLS). He is a member of the American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics (AIAA) and the National Society of Black Engineers (NSBE). A licensed pilot and Airframe & Powerplant technician, Mr. Maasha is a 20+ yr member of the USAF Auxiliary Civil Air Patrol (CAP-USAF) and volunteers as a pilot and aircraft maintenance officer.
