Peter R. Kinget

Peter R. Kinget is the Bernard J. Lechner Professor of Electrical Engineering. Kinget obtained an engineering degree in electrical and mechanical engineering and a PhD degree in electrical engineering from the Katholieke Universiteit Leuven, Belgium. He has worked in industrial research and development, and has been at Columbia since 2002. His research and teaching focuses on the design of analog, mixed signal, and RF integrated circuits and the novel applications they enable in communications, sensing, computation, and power management. He is a fellow of the Institute of Electrical and Electronic Engineers (IEEE) and the inaugural recipient of the IEEE Solid-State Circuits Society 2020 Innovative Education Award. He is a co-recipient of the First Prize in the 2009 Vodafone Americas Foundation Wireless Innovation Challenge and the 2011 IEEE Communications Society Award for Advances in Communication and several best paper awards. He devotes a lot of his energy to teaching initiatives such as the MOSbius Project and the VLSI Design Lab.
